The tool shuffles all names randomly using a Fisher-Yates shuffle algorithm and distributes them as evenly as possible across your chosen number of teams. If the numbers do not divide evenly, the extra players are spread across the first teams so every team is as balanced as possible.
Add names one at a time using the input field, or click Load Sample to try the tool with a pre-loaded list. Set the number of teams you need using the number input, then click Generate Teams. The names are shuffled randomly and split into your chosen number of groups. Hit Regenerate as many times as you like to get a different random split — each regeneration is completely independent.
Once you have a split you are happy with, click Copy Results to copy all teams to your clipboard in a clean text format that you can paste into a message, spreadsheet, or document.
